Education

Our team offers courses in the fields of  GIS, Spatial Analysis, Modelling and Optimisation, Natural Hazard Management, Land-Use Systems, Environmental Sustainability, Sampling Techniques for Forest Inventories, Systems Engineering Lab and an Interdisciplinary Project that takes place as part of a 2-week block course. We focus on the use of new media and information technologies, we encourage our students self-study and solution-oriented work. It is our aim  to transfer expertise and experience and to teach our students in problem-solving oriented thinking and motivate them to develop solutions to environmental problems independently. We support Bachelor- and Master's theses. Furthermore, we implement a colloquium for Forest and Landscape Management called “Montagskolloquium” and other seminars where we inform about our research.
