Land Use Engineering
Mission
Our research focuses on spatially explicit optimisation of land use activities, emerging concepts of land-use management (adaptive ecosystem management, precision land-use management), modelling environmental performance of different land-use systems, and risk management of natural hazards. We attempt to provide a teaching environment that attracts highly motivated and skilled students to contribute to our research and outreach activities. Our group transfers its research knowledge to practitioners. We are offering consulting services to agencies and enterprises in the field of forest engineering, spatial optimisation, GIS and statistics.
